Irene Tatum, 85, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on March 17, 2017. She was born on October 8, 1931 in Cleveland, TN to Tom Arledge and Annie Palmer. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Tatum; son, James W. Knowles; and grandson, Jamie Knowles.
She is survived by one son, Calvin (Wanda) Knowles; 3 grandchildren, Rhonda (Todd) Sowell, Donna (James) Stewart, and Sherry (Ricky) Lewis; 6 great-grandchildren, Christopher (Heather) Sowell, Miranda (Clayton) Gregory, Garrett Sowell, Jessica Stewart, Zachary Lewis, and Ashley Lewis; and 5 great, great-grandchildren. And her two sisters, Louise Atterton of Whitwell, TN and Ruby Green of Chattanooga, TN.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. with service to follow @1:00 p.m. in the Trahan Family Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Todd Sowell officiating. Lineup at 1:30 for burial at Barrancas National Cemetery at 2:00.
