Cheryl P. Voight
February 8, 1947 - June 19, 2017

Cheryl Voight, 70, of Pensacola, FL went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 19, 2017 in her home surrounded by those who love her. She was born to her parents Herbert Madison and Evelyn Hall Parker on February 8, 1947.
In her childhood, Cheryl moved around due to her father being in the United States Army; until they finally, settled down in Pensacola, FL where she graduated from J. M. Tate High School. After high school, she went to work at the West Florida Medical Center as a transcriptionist. She was no stranger to hard work, after long days at the medical center she would retire to her garden which was her haven.
Throughout her life she was known as kind, thoughtful, and selfless. She had brought joy to all those who came to know her. And although she has departed from this life, she continues to live on in the hearts of those who hold her dearest. She will forever be missed and never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Madison and Evelyn Hall Parker; and her brother, Herb Parker, Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-five years, William F. Voight; her children, Susan Maines (John Desposito), Karen Phipps, and Bria Carnley (Doug); step- children, Sharon and Mike Voight; grandchildren, Mason Maines, Douglas and Gage Carnley, Colten Phipps, and Luke Whitley.
A visitation will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
A service will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
A celebration of life will be held at Pine Forest United Methodist Church after the service for friends and family to eat and share memories of our beloved Cheryl Voight.
