Obituary for Anne Jennifer Aldridge
In her 20’s, she worked as a legal secretary in London, for Sir Authur Driver. In 1971, she married Michael Nichols and became step-mother to his two daughters, Melanie and Maude. Soon after, they adopted daughter, Catherine in London. Michael was in the US Navy, and in 1974 he was stationed to Pensacola, Fl. Anne enjoyed her life as a mother and homemaker. She was very active in the British Club and British West Floridians. In 1981, Anne and Michael divorced. In 1985, Anne married Jerry Aldridge and became step-mother to his 4 daughters, Reanne, Alisha, Angie, and Elena. She was widowed in 2013 after 30 years of marriage to Jerry.
Anne was multi-talented. She was a great story teller, especially in her proper British accent. She was an expert on British history. She made porcelain dolls, and sewed the dresses for them. She was generous to a fault and passionate about many animal causes. She'll be dearly missed by her friends and family. She’ll be cremated and taken back to England.
