Obituary for Betty Frances Rhodes
1931 – 2017
Betty Rhodes, age 85, of Lillian, AL passed away on August 31.
She was born in Concord, NC and spent most of her childhood in Concord or Kure Beach, North Carolina. Betty lived most of her adult life in Key West, FL and Lillian, AL.
She was a homemaker who loved her family and her faith. Betty also loved music, dancing, the beach and she never met a stranger. She was a founding member of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Lillian, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Rhodes, and daughter, Brenda House(Alan House). She is survived by two sons James Rhodes(Nealofier Lewis-Rhodes) of Pensacola, FL and Daniel Rhodes of Lillian, AL. Betty is also survived by her grandchildren Kenneth House(Nicole House), Patrick House(Stephanie House), Kathleen House, Leah Perez(Cos Perez) and Rachel Rhodes along with several great grandchildren.
Betty's home going memorial service will be held at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Lillian, AL on Thursday, September 14th at 2:00 p.m. Trahan Family Funeral Home will be taking care of the arrangements.
