Patrick Alonzo Prevot Sr., 54, was born May 3, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Rapheal Moses Prevot Sr. and Flossie Prevot. He departed this life at home on September 28, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Patrick was an active member of Pace Assembly Ministries. He loved God and his church family.
Patrick earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Excelsior and Associates in Business Administration from Arlington University Management Technology. Patrick attended Arlington High School in Indianapolis, IN.
After high school Patrick joined the Navy in June 1981 with basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois. He served for 30 years with tours onboard USS Nitro AE-23 (Earl, New Jersey), USS Valley Forge CG-50, Naval Recruiting District (New York, New York), Recruit Training Command (Orlando, Florida), Global War of Terror, Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (OFS) (Djibouti Africa) - while onboard six naval ships stateside and station overseas in Japan, and his last active duty station was as the Officer-in-Charge of the Naval Air Station Pensacola Level 1 Brig (Pensacola, Florida).
Chief Warrant Officer Prevot’s awards include: Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (8 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (9 awards) Meritorious Unit Commendation (3 awards), Navy Unit Commendation (4 awards), Battle E (4 awards), and the Good Conduct Medal (4 awards).
While in the Navy, he met and married the love of his life Nancy Bullock. As two military members they served all over world and have shared many memories. Patrick is known to many of shipmate’s as “BOSN” or “AL”.
Patrick Alonzo Prevot, Sr. is survived by a wife, Nancy, children: Patrick Jr., Marcus, Kourtney, and Kaylie. Grandson: Brantley, brothers: Rapheal Jr- whom preceded him in death (Roberta), Roderick, Orlando, Theophis (Melissa), Stephan( Michelle), Jonathan (Opal) and sisters: Deborah Hederington, Renita Smith (Norval), and Patricia Jones (Leandraw Jones). A host of nieces and nephews. Special lifelong friends, Andre Barlow, Rose Braxton, Fannette Brown, Donald Wafford, the Francis Family, Mims Family, and Neely Family, Shipmates and Pace Assembly of God Church Family.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until service begins at 10:00 a.m., both at Pace Assembly of God. Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton is in charge of arrangements.
