Obituary for James Darryl Ellis
He was born in Brewton, Alabama on May 06, 1965 to parents Mary “Pauline” Coffield, (Gene), and the late William George “Man” Ellis (Theresa). Raised in Berrydale, moved to Milton/Pace. Graduated from Pace High School in 1983. After a short time in the military he spent the remainder of his career in the construction industry.
He is survived by his children, Jonathan (Jasmine) Ellis and Jennifer Ellis and their mother Tina D. Ellis all of Georgia. Grandchildren; Christian, Kallyn, Ryleigh, Harmonie, and CJ. Siblings; Suzanne (Alton) Pugh, Brian (Kim) Ellis, twin Doyle (Nancy) Ellis, Kevin Ellis, Patrick (Jennifer) Ellis and Tina M. Ellis. Step brothers; Steven Coffield, Justin Coffield, step sister; Amanda Coffield and his dog Lucky, his favorite sidekick.
Preceded in death by his father William George “Man” Ellis, grandparents; William E. and Corine Ellis and Broward and Francis Rowell all of Berrydale and an infant son Gregory.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton with a visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. and the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Wayne Blocker and Alan Pugh will be officiating. Pallbearers are nephews; Chasse Ellis, Zachary Ellis, Dakota Ellis, Mitchell Ellis, Drake Ellis and step brother Steven Coffield. Interment will follow at the family plot in Whitfield Cemetery.
