Eric was the second beautiful child of six. Eric had enjoyed snow skiing at a young age. He had, also, loved going to the Pensacola Beach, where he would go fishing and crabbing. Eric was a member of Scenic Heights Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in his early teen years. More recently, when Eric visited his mother, stepfather, and sisters he would attend and worship the Lord at True Worship Assembly of God.
He now walks alongside his Lord with his paternal grandmother, Cecelia Scanlon; maternal grandparents, Johnny and Deana Richardson; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Scanlon; and his uncles, Patrick Scanlon and Billy Scanlon.
