Obituary for Marion Joan Saxton

Marion Joan (Burns) Saxton went to the hands of the Lord on January 09, 2018. She was surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 03, 1937 in Brookhaven, NY to Emma Gardenier and John Burns. She married Ronald Saxton in June of 1958. They had three children, Ronald, Robert and Margaret. Marion enjoyed life and loved to bowl. She worked at a bowling alley in New York and in Pensacola, Florida when they moved in August of 1981.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Saxton.

Survivors include her sons Ronald and Robert; daughter Margaret (Richard) Howard; brother-in-law Richard Saxton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathy and George Markwalter; grandsons, Van and Michael; great-grandchildren Jayden, Chancellor, Penelope, Kaylynn, Riley, Ryan, Harper, Alexander and other numerous family members.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Trahan Family Funeral Home. Visitation to begin at 11:30 a.m. with the service starting at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry 5200 Saufley Field Road, Pensacola, FL 32526 or to a charity of their choice.
