Comer Michael Bodie, 68, of Milton, Fl., went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 31, 2018. He was born on January 15, 1950, in Pensacola, Florida, and was the fourth of five children, of Comer W. and Orell Cooper Bodie.

Mike grew up in Milton, and was an outstanding basketball player at Milton High School, where he graduated in 1968. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and traveled over Europe playing basketball for the Army. After being honorably discharged, Mike worked in electrical construction and as a crane operator off shore.

Mike made a personnal commitment to Christ at Pine Terrace Baptist Church, where he attended until his health prevented it.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, a niece, Angela Hudson Elder, and sister-in-law, Linda Hudson Bodie.

He is survived by his sisters, Rose Ella Hudson (Alvin), Darlene Williams (Marion), Debbie Pace (Thad), and a brother, Terry Bodie (Karen). He also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Pine Terrace Baptist Church of Milton, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018, with services immediately following. Officiating will be Bro. Mike Wiggins and Marion Williams. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Milton.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Tim Byrd, Brian Oden, Michael Williams, Matt Bodie, Brian Kimbrough, and Trey Emmons.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike's coffee drinking buddies, and the staff of "The Other Place".

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's name, to any children's health or welfare organization, will be appreciated.
