Ruth Bernice Isaacs, 89, Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, Passed away Tuesday February 13, 2018
So peacefully, at 3 A.M. Sweet angels came from Heaven to collect one of their own. Ruth was born to the late Nancy Jane and Arthur White on November 6, 1928 and was an addition to the family with an older sister Rosa White Lukers. She was married for 35 years to the late William (Ike) Isaacs and had one child, Sherry Denise Isaacs.
Anyone that knew Ruth knew that she had to stay busy; her hands were her gift that never rested. From cooking, to ceramics, to sewing, to making doll houses and the furniture to fill it. But her greatest gift was crocheting, she used A MILLION MILES OF YARN to create special handmade items for her family, friends, and less fortunate. She was an active member in her community and loved to socialize, have lunch, drink coffee, and play bingo with her dear friends at Beulah Senior Center and Myrtle Grove Senior Center.
Simply spending time with her family and friends was enough for her, but her love for the Lord was the greatest gift she was ever given, and her long-time family at Lakeview Baptist Church lead by Pastor Charles Mitchell was her home. She loved each of them dearly.
She will be missed by all that knew her. Ruth left an impression on everyone she met that was not easily forgotten.
With a heart full of love, she leaves behind her daughter; Sherry Denise (Danny) Speranzo, Granddaughters; Morgan (Vince) Hoda, Taylor Speranzo (Derrick Griffin), Nephews; Danny (Yolanda) Lukers, Jerry Lukers, Great Niece; Sherry Lukers(Michael) Sherrill, Great-Nephews; Michael (Teri) Lukers. And many, many lifelong acquaintances that were lucky enough to call her Mom, Nannie, Aunt and Friend.
The Service for Ruth Bernice will be held at Lakeview Baptist Church, the address is 1100 W. Michigan Ave. The Service will be Thursday February 22, 2018, Visitation will be 10-11 A.M. Service is from 11-11:30 A.M. She will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1 P.M.
“And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
