March 24, 1944 – February 27, 2018
Joseph J. Holokan III, 73, of Pensacola, FL went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2018. He was born to Joseph J and Edna Holokan ,Jr. on March 24, 1944 in DeerField, Arkansas.
Joseph had a never ending desire to learn. He adored nothing more than his family and worked very hard to make sure they had everything they needed. He graduated from Ector High School then furthered his education at college in Pensacola, Florida, where he obtained an Associate Degree.
His wise words to his children “learn all you can, no one can ever take that away”. Some of Joseph’s favorite things to do were reading books, wood working, and watching movies. Joseph was a proud man who had the honor of serving his country in the military. Joseph was a hard-working man. One of his biggest achievements would be working for NASA, where he was privileged to be able sign the Apollo 11, which landed on the moon. Joseph was a man of Faith.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; Edna Holokan and Joseph John Holokan Jr. Two Sisters; Jeannette Bailey and Penny Bibby. Two brothers; Obed Johnson and Troy Johnson.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Myrtle Holokan. One sister Bobbie Bailey and one brother Billy Joe Johnson. Three daughters; Joella Galvan, Tonya Martin, Christy Johnson, son Joseph John Holokan IV. Son-in-laws; Juan Galvan, Elmer Martin, J. Denaco and Daughter-in-law Dawn Holokan. He also is survived by twelve grandchildren and nine Great-Grandchildren. One sister, Bobbie Bailey and one brother, Billie Joe Johnson. Multiple nieces and nephews.
