Obituary for Nancy Louise Williams

Nancy Louise Williams
March 4, 1943 – March 3, 2018

Nancy L. Williams of Pensacola, FL began her Heavenly journey on March 3, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Richmond Indiana on March 4, 1943 to William H. “Bud” and Naomi Bowman.
Her young life was spent running the beaches of Fort Pickens where her father was a Park Ranger. She had attended Pensacola High School, but later received her GED in 1971. She went to PJC and was awarded a certificate for clerical studies. Following her studies at PJC she then got a job at Sacred Heart Hospital as a ward clerk for a few years. Then an opening came up with the Civil Service that landed her a job with the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners, where after 20 years she had retired.
Her life is celebrated by her husband, of 43 years, Thomas P. Williams. They had happily married on May 23, 1975. The most important things in Nancy’s life were the love of God and her family. She loved the trips to the mountains and family gatherings.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Thomas Williams of Pensacola; daughters, Leah Lewick and Lisa Bautista of Fort Walton Beach; and a son, David Johnson and wife Loretta of Fort Walton Beach. Grandchildren, Heather Hudgins (Stephen) stationed in England, Jessika Johnson, Matilda Bautista, Pedro “PJ” Bautista, Haleigh Bautista and Hannah Johnson all of Fort Walton Beach; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy now walks alongside the Lord with her parents, sister Carolyn Enzer of Fort Walton Beach, and brother David Bowman of Elberta, AL.
The family, after 7 years would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Friedland and the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center on 9-mile road, her home health care nurses and providers. She always spoke so highly of you and loved you all.
Her children would like to give a very special thank you to their step father, Thomas Williams for all the love, devotion, and care that he gave to their mother over the past few years. A service will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at Trahan Family Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. and the family will be receiving guests at 6:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Marty McClean
