Phillip Ray Conway, a native of McCullough, Alabama, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 12, 2018. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Beadie Conway on September 18, 1939. He married his one true love, Shirley Ann Lane, in March of 1959 who preceded him in death in 2014.
Ray is survived by his three children: daughter, Gwyn (Michael) Andrews, and two sons, Kenny (Tina) Conway and Tim (Jody) Conway; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Andrews, Middleburg, FL; Dalton (Rachel) Andrews, Middleburg, FL; Nicholas (Krystal) Conway, Perdido, AL; Kathleen Conway, Perdido, AL; Whitney Wyatt, Brewton, AL; Heather Wyatt, Luverne, AL; Brandy Higdon, Luverne, AL; and seven great-grandchildren. Ray’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of his life and he always cherished the time he had with them. He is also survived by one brother, Winston Conway, Pensacola, FL; and one sister, Kathryn Drew, Atmore, AL.
A service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Enon Baptist Church, Monroe County, AL. Reverend Andy Boutwell and D.L. Harville will be officiating.
The visitation will be from 10:15 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow.
Pall bearers will be Stephanie Andrews, Dalton Andrews, Nicholas Conway, Brandy Higdon, Wayne Sanders, and Jimmy Stewart.
Honorary pall bearer will be Kathleen Conway.
