Condolence: I want to express my heartfelt sympathy and share some comfort and hope from God's word, the Bible. Very soon now God will restore things on earth to the way he meant them to be before his first human creations rebelled. Revelation 21:4 promises us that God will completely eliminate death, mourning, and pain. Imagine that! No suffering of any kind anymore! Isaiah 33:24 promises, "no resident will say: "I am sick." So no more physical or emotional sickness. Psalm 37:10,11 assures us that wickedness will be removed from the earth. Imagine the peace that will exist then! And that's not all...the Bible also promises us that during this time, all those sleeping in death will be brought back to life. (1 Thessalonians 4:13; John 5:28,29; Isaiah 26:19) What a wonderful hope that is- to welcome back our loved ones to perfect health and conditions forever! Until that time comes, our loving heavenly Father assures us at Psalm 34:18 that he "is close to the brokenhearted" and "He saves those who are crushed in spirit." So he understands your pain and grief and is eager to help you by giving you the strength you need to cope with your loss. (Philippians 4:13) I hope these scriptures will provide some comfort.
