Obituary for Gracie Viola Vincent

1933-2018

Gracie Viola Vincent, born on March 22, 1933 in Coffee County, Alabama she passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 02, 2018. She was surrounded by three generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gracie is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Theodore Vincent, Sons; Joe and Ronnie Barlow, Brother; Robert Coleman and her Sister Mary Alice McClain.

Gracie was a sweet lady with a generous heart. Her generosity extended deeply with her family and her community. Gracie held many jobs she enjoyed; she served on the Board of Directors for the Pensacola L&N Federal Credit Union, she was a local Chairperson for the Brotherhood of Railway Airline Clerks, a member of Pensacola Pilot’s Club for many years and she was also active in the Ladies Auxiliary fleet Reserve Association for 35 years where she served as President.

Her faith in God was strong and showed in her dedication in service. She was an active member at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church where she served as G.A. leader and mentor; among many other things. She also attended New Beginning Church in her later years.

She is survived by granddaughters; Ginni Townsend (Brent) and Feelena Houston (Robert), Grandsons; Kris (Dee), Zack (Amanda) and David Barlow, Great-Grandchildren; Rajah N. Zullo (Dominick), Khristian, Joseph and Sarabi Kersey (Heather), Kasey (Samantha) and Evangeline Townsend, Katlynn (Rhett) and Taylor Houston, Kalle Nesom (Scott), Kyle, Kaitlyn and Kruze Barlow, Kross Lafontain, Addison and Jackson Barlow. Great-Great-Grandchildren; Karter Kersey, Virgil Zullo, Bristol and Knox Nesom. Her Uncle; Don Ostrander (Dora).

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 06, 2018 at Trahan Family Funeral Home.
