Obituary for Estelle B Kitchens

Estelle B. Kitchens joined this earth on November 17, 1944 and left 73 years later on May 14, 2018. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bobby E. Kitchens, Sr.; parents, Dave & Sarah Broxson; brother, Alva Broxson; three sisters, Sally Broxson, Leona Wales and Devola Smith; children, Tammy and Melanie Lowery; and grandchild, Melanie Kitchens. She is survived by: children: Sonya Wilkinson, Robert Kitchens, David Lowery (Cathy), Michelle Harris, Kelley Dougherty, Wendy Dermody, Bobby Kitchens, Jr, and Marsha Daniel; Grandchildren: David, Tommy, Heather, Sarah, Emily, April, Cody, Micheala, Jacob, Ashton, Bo, Dalton, Dakota, Logan, Landon, and Hayden; and great-grandchildren: Autumn, Tripp, Gemma, Jaiden, Mike, Sebastian, Layla, Luke and Nevaeh.

Estelle was a resident of Santa Rosa County for most of her life. While most of her time was spent being a homemaker raising a large, large family; she was still an unfathomable force to be reckoned with. She was firm and secure in her beliefs and values which she instilled in her children. She taught respect was earned, not given. She knew disagreements brought differing perspectives and was willing to listen to others thoughts and opinions. With so many individually, unique personalities closely within the family unit, fairness was essential; and fair she was. She was the epitome of a family matriarch. She will always be loved and missed. Her loss is unmeasurable.

Pallbearers are Cody Harris, Dakota Kitchens, Logan Daniel, Herman Wales, Mickey Northcutt, and Tim Joyner.

Honorary pallbearers are Van Sheffield, Ed Guy, Kenny Hall, James Glover, and Mike Hall.
