Condolence From: Melinda Lockett Watson
Condolence: So sorry to hear of Uncle Doug's illness and passing. As you know, there are too many memories thru my lifetime to share. When I think of Uncle Doug I think of his smile and sense of humor. He was always smiling and joking around, making us laugh also his sense style, and his movie collection. We call him Uncle Doug even though we aren't related because we were so close while growing up, especially before we moved away from the Pensacola area. Our family has many stories of Doug and Gloria and my mom and dad as they were dating. My parents would not have met if not for Uncle Doug and his FUN-Loving Spirit. One story I've always loved is when--He and my dad and a mutual friend showed up at my mothers house after she had said she wasn't up to going out that night. When she came to the door she had her hair in rollers! What a 1st impression. We also have many memories of Uncle Doug, Aunt Gloria Dana and Mark and our family sharing KFC dinners, swimming at their house and lots of laughing! Prayers, for All of his family, especially Aunt Gloria, Dana and Mark

Condolence: The first time i met Doug and Gloria, 2007, Doug did his “funny” of getting my name wrong....took me a bit to realize this was just one of many “tricks” Doug would pull....He will be sorely missed by everyone. We will tell stories about you,Doug, until we meet again! Lots of love and hugs to the family, especially Gloria, Dana and Mark. The friendship the McBrides have shown me has been a true blessing.
