Obituary for Brenda Ann Broxson

Brenda Ann Broxson, 67, of Cantonment, FL went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 20, 2018. She passed at home surrounded by the love from her children after a lengthy battle with multiple myeloma. She was born on February 17, 1951 in New Orleans, LA to her loving parents, Arthur and Hilary Brochu.
Our mom spent most of her life taking care of others. She was a loving, caring daughter, mother, sister, mawmaw, friend, and nurse. Brenda meant so much to so many people and she will be dearly missed by all. Every person she encountered was touched in some way by her tender and loving heart.
She now walks alongside the Lord with her loving husband, Raymond Daniel Broxson; father, Arthur William Brochu; mother, Hilary Mary Brochu; and her brother, William Roy Brochu.
Brenda is survived by her four children, Hilary (Keith) Carlisle, Danny (Jamie) Broxson, Russell (Cristina) Broxson, Rachel (Jerry) Venable; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; her sister, Susan Chipman; brothers, Alan Brochu, Steven Brochu; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and aides who helped their mother through the years.
Pall Bearers will include: Jacob Webb, Justin Webb, Nicholas Venable, Randy Brochu, Alan Brochu, II., and Robert Webb.
Honorary Pall Bearers will include: Rhys Broxson, Cameron Broxson, and Tucker Thompson.
A Mass will be held in honor of Brenda’s life at St. Jude Thaddeus Church on Saturday, August 25, 2018. The viewing will be at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass at 10:30 a.m. Following the Mass, Brenda will be laid to rest at Roberts Cemetery.
