Obituary for Howard "Skip" Parker
(1955 - 2018)
Howard “ Skip” Parker, 63, came into this world on July 14, 1955 in Lowell, Massachusetts. Suddenly, without warning, he peacefully left us on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
Skip was born to Howard and Elizabeth Parker, he grew up in Hollywood, FL working as a Master brick mason most of his life. Skip was a proud American, who served his country as a Vietnam War Veteran.
He moved to Pensacola, FL in 2001, where he enjoyed working on small engines and building go-carts. He also had a passion for Nascar. Skip had a quick wit about him and a great sense of humor. He will be missed dearly by many.
Skip is preceded in death by his loving parents and brother, Scott Parker.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his son, Howard Parker, Jr.; brother, Roy Parker (Debbie) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Lisa Prevatte (Greg) of Pensacola, FL, and Denise Sweeney (Bill) of Waldorf, MD; sister-in-law, Paula Parker of Jensen, Beach, FL; Nieces and nephews: Roy Parker, Jr; Shayna Parker; Elizabeth (Tyler) Jackson; Andrew (Kinsie) Prevatte; Matthew Prevatte; Shannon Sweeney; and many other relatives and friends.
A small military service will be held at 12:30 p.m., on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Barrancas National Cemetery. Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
