Obituary for Dolores Shell Warrick

Dolores Shell Warrick, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 23 at Jay Hospital. She was born on September 9, 1930 in Jay, Florida to Ruby and Luman Shell. She was a devoted mother, Nana, sister and friend to many.

Dolores worked 12 years for a company that was known as Chemstrand many years ago. She loved working outside in her flower beds and arranging flowers. She built a green house where she grew different varieties of orchids. This love of flowers led her to open a business called Dolores’s Orchids. She ran the business for almost 15 years. It would always bring a smile to her face when people would see her and say, You’re the lady that grew the orchids! She was a member of Concord Primitive Baptist Church.

She now walks alongside the Lord with her loving parents Luman and Ruby Shell.

She is survived by her daughters, Marsha (Don) Bovee, Brenda (Buster) Kitchens and Paula (Nathan) McCants; six grandchildren, Timothy (T.J.) Carter, Bethany Carter, Crystal Martin, Angel Beaver, Lynn (John) Florea and Rhonda (Rob) Hedglen; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Jean (Bob) Grumman; two nieces and one nephew.

Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., on August 28, 2018 at Jay First Baptist Church in Jay, Florida. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery.
