Peggy Joyce Hood Gillis was born in March 1943 in Oldfort, Tennessee. She went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2018.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Doug Gillis Sr. Also, preceded in death by her parents Oscar L and Aileen Hood.
She is survived by her son Doug Gillis Jr and daughter-in-law Charlotte Gillis; three grandchildren: Jr Enfinger (Kelly), Christopher Enfinger, and Keisha (Andrew) Wickham; seven great-grandchildren: Haliegh, Hunter, Joshua, Gracie, Jacob, and Scarlett Grace; brother, Daniel Hood and sisters in law Margert Gillis, and Marleen Gavlak (Mike); along with many nieces and nephews.
Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Woodbine Baptist Church at 10 a.m. for family and friends with services beginning at 11am. Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers a donation to Woodbine Baptist Church may be made.
