On September 13, 2018, God called Mary home to receive an eternal rest.
Mary is the late daughter of David and Arcola Edwards; she is preceded in death by brothers, David “DC” Edwards, Willie James Edwards, David “Pye” Edwards, Alphonso “AL” Edwards; sister, Arcola “Annette” Edwards; grandson, Marven Lilman Parker; husband, Harley “Nick” Nicholson.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Teena (Terrill) Lewis; David (Kiristi) Nicholson, Naomi King, Daniel “Aaron” Nicholson, Micheal (Ida) Nicholson; devoted sister and brother in law, Barbara and Jefferey Savage; grandchildren, Alisha (Daniel) Jackson, Zachary Salter, Aubra Nicholson and Addison King; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaylee, Kylee Jackson; uncle, David Lee (Alice) Sanders; aunt, Mary Alice (Albert) Robinson, Sallie (Shoemo) “Skip” William, and Dr. Saddie Sanders, PHD; a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved and truly knew her.
Due to the trials and tribulations in life Mary proceeded to be a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, sister in law, as well as a devoted friend throughout her journey in this world. Mary’s journey was caring her cross with love and compassion towards others. Mary passionately devoted herself towards her faith in Christ. Mary was many things, but more than all those things combined she was a Christian with an extraordinary walk with God.
Rest mother Mary knowing that we will always love you.
