Condolence: Words simply cannot express the sadness and emptiness in our hearts on Uncle Garlin's passing. He was a loving, giving man who treasured his family above and beyond all else. He was a brother to Diane's father, who left her family when she was six. Her youngest daughter put her in touch with Garlin and he welcomed us into his family. He gave to Diane a rich history of the McLellan family through oral stories and old pictures. He filled her heart with a "what could have been" relationship as it related to her father. He became not only her uncle but a sort of surrogate father as well. He will be sorely missed but his memory will be a treasure that cannot be taken away.
