Msgt. William Edward “Bill” Wild, USAF (Ret.)
October 16, 1960 – November 4, 2018

Msgt. William Edward “Bill” Wild, USAF (Ret.), 58, of Milton passed away on November 4, 2018. He was born on October 16, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA as the youngest of three children. The son of a career Marine, his family moved frequently to Hawaii, San Francisco, CA, both Carolinas, and upstate New York, finally settling in Twentynine Palms, CA.
Bill joined the U.S. Air Force on April 18, 1979. His duty assignments included, South Carolina, Washington state, The United Kingdom, Cuba, and Norway. Upon retiring from the Air Force on February 29, 2000, Bill settled down in the Florida panhandle. It was here he met and married Linda Halsey. They had a beautiful boy who they named Tyler James Wild in June of 2004.
While in the Air Force, Bill worked in Avionics and also as a Financial Manager. After his military career, he continued to work in the aviation field at Vertex Aerospace as a helicopter avionics technician.
Survivors include: his older siblings, Fran Wild of California and Mike Wild of Ohio; son, Tyler Wild of Milton, Florida; and Tyler’s mother, Linda Jordan.
Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
