Obituary for Vaughn Simmons
Vaughn Simmons was the last child born to Gary and JohnnieMae Simmons, January 24, 1956 in Crestview, Florida, at an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior and was baptized int the name of the father, the son and the holy ghost at the house of God which is Church of The Living God in Crestview, Florida.
Vaughn was married to Marie Simmons on March 26, 1977, he tirelessly honored his vows to comfort and keep his wife in sickness and in health till they were parted by death.
Vaughn attended Crestview High School in Crestview, Florida he worked at Vertex Aerospace, caring for his family, he impacted the lives of many people. He gave to others at the expense of himself on Wednesday, 12th December 2018, God dispatched an Angel to Vaughn’s bedside and spoke softly to him: “Come unto me and I will give you rest,” he joyously accepted the call and made his heavenly transition.
Vaughn’s life and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Gary Sr. and JohnnieMae Simmons; brother, Gary Simmons Jr.; and sister, Alberta Rollins.
He leaves to cherish in his memory his loving wife, Marie Simmons; devoted children, Stephanie (Joey) Wallace of Baltimore, Maryland, Tiffany (Shawn) Henderson of Milton, Florida, Vaughn Jr. (Veronica) Simmons of Milton, Florida, Jermato (Clamesha) Simmons of Milton, Florida, Terrance Simmons of Milton, Florida and Lakeyia Durm of Crestview, Florida; brother, James (Louise) Simmons of Columbus, Georgia; brother in laws, Eric, Herman, Paul, Dennis and Keith of Milton, Florida; sister in laws, Vera, Fran and Yolanda; 28 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and one god child.
