Obituary for Ruby Lee Weldon
Ruby Lee Weldon, 83, of Milton, passed away on December 29, 2018. She was born on September 28, 1935 in Low Wassie, Missouri to John Albert and Dora Elizabeth (McAdams) Dickerson as the youngest of seven children.
Ruby always had an adventurous spirit. She lived in Missouri, California, Arkansas, Florida, and Kansas before settling in Milton 16 years ago. She quickly met a group of Senior Friends that became family to her. She was a life-long bowler and so enjoyed her time with friends. They would often be playing cards, dancing, or traveling-especially on cruises. She enjoyed a trip across Europe and has traveled extensively in the US with family and friends. She really lived life to the fullest!
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Weldon and five siblings: Eileen Tucker, Glen Dickerson, Thelma Dillard, John Dickerson and Faye Martin.
She is survived by her children: Michael (Connie) Weldon, Dennis Weldon and Denise (Cliff) Krut; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Kathryn Randolph; sister-in-law Jeanne (Bill) Anderson; special friend Von Smith; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a reception immediately following at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton.
