Obituary for Martin Ronald "P Rooney" Wolfe

Martin Ronald “P Rooney” Wolfe, left us to go be with his Lord and Savior on January 1, 2019, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was surrounded with two of his brothers and wives and one precious dear friend “Stella Jerigan, who spent very much time with him traveling and doing the things they loved and enjoying life to the fullest which included dancing and socializing with friends. (If we tried to mention them all I’m afraid we might miss someone, but you know who you are and he loved each and everyone of you!).

A precious soul has entered into those Pearly Gates with that great big smile on his face for there’s no more pain and sickness now only that smile upon his face.

Martin was born January 13, 1950 in Brewton, Alabama. He has resided all his life in Santa Rosa County. Martin also wanted us to know about another special person he loved very much “Laura Garner, who spent the last few weeks taking care of Martin.”

Martin is preceded in death by his father and mother, Howard and Mary Wolfe; a brother, Doyle Wolfe; three sisters, Louise Hall, Betty Owens and Shirl Lindsey.

Martin is survived by his twin brother, Marvin and wife, Edith; brother, Roy Wolfe and wife, Louise; Avis Wolfe; sister, Pearl Crain; many nephews and nieces; Martin also leaves behind his beautiful church family who he loved and worshiped with every time the church doors opened.

Martin retired from the County with whom he worked for over 25 years. Martin, loved everyone he came in contact with and will be well remembered for his “John Deere Tractor” that he loved and enjoyed better than anything, HWY 191 will not be the same without him from here on, he traveled many miles hauling stuff up and down 191 and helping who ever needed help and a way to haul stuff off. He loved life and people to the fullest. Our life will never be the same but one day we will meet again if we love and live like Martin.
