Obituary for Anthony Wayne Hesser

Anthony Wayne Hesser, affectionately called “Tony” passed away at West Florida Hospital, Pensacola, FL at 5:45 a.m., January 8, 2019, after a battle with metastatic lung cancer. He was born in Copeland, KS, on April 7, 1948. He was a retired Marine Corp Master Sgt and served a total of 22 years for his country. He has been a resident of Milton, FL since 1989.

He is survived by his wife, Laura J. Hesser (Janie); his son, Michael Allen Hesser (Mike); his daughter, Melissa Ann Bogden (Missy); stepchildren, Rebekah Lee Gardner (Becky), Richard Leland Massey (Lee) and Joseph Christopher Massey (Chris); grandchildren, Emma Lynn Bogden, Dylan Hesser, Damein Carnesi, Fisher Bodenstein and Hannah Nessenson; brothers and sisters in law, Lowell Wayne Hesser and Sandi Turner Hesser of Milton, FL., and Jeffrey Lee Hesser and Margie Hesser of Jacksonville, FL.

Tony was a wonderful and well-loved soldier, husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton is in charge of arrangements.

Services are Saturday, January 12, 2019 starting at 2:00 p.m. with Honorary Veterans Ceremony by the Fleet Reserve Branch 210, visitation to follow starting at 2:15 p.m., until service begins at 3:15 p.m., at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton.

A reception will be held at the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 210 in Milton, FL after services.
