Obituary for Alfred "AL" Rodier, Jr.

Alfred "Al" Rodier, 77, of Milton, Florida, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He had been in failing health for over a year. He was born November 23, 1941, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and lived most of his life in Milton.

Rodier was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He worked for over 20 years in both government civil service and as a maintenance contractor at Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton. He enjoyed the simple life and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle in his spare time.

Rodier is preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve Sanderson Austin; his father, Alfred Albert Rodier; and grandson Kriztofer Rodier.

He is survived by his children: Sheba (Jon) Richter of Annapolis, Maryland; Alfred (Lisa) Rodier, Greg Rodier, Tina Rodier, Cody Grenier and stepson, Jeremy (Samantha Gromer) Grenier, all of Milton. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandy Pollara of Morristown, New Jersey; Linda Tuning of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and his brother, Bob (Paula) Rodier of Black Mountain, North Carolina; as well as his grandchildren, April Phillips, Stephanie Rodgers and Dustin Rodgers; step-grandchildren, Ricky Hood and Hailey, Brealynn and Kolby Grenier; and four great-grandchildren.

Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2019, from 5-6 p.m., and the memorial service at 6 p.m., at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton, 6539 Trammel Drive, Milton.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice or Alzheimer's Association.
