Frank Joseph Davis
January 18, 1936 – January 27, 2019

Frank Joseph Davis, 83, of Pensacola, FL passed away on January 27, 2019 in the comfort of his home. He was born January 18, 1936 in Oakland, CA to his parents Lucius Davis and Gladys Delong.
Frank proudly served his country at the age of 18 and joined the U.S. Navy. In the Navy, frank served as a flight mechanic during the Cuban crisis as well as a crew member of the U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1971. In 1974, Frank retired and was Honorable discharge from the Navy. His greatest accomplishment was being a wonderful father, son, granddaddy, brother, and friend. Frank was a devoted Protestant, who loved nothing more than his family and would do anything for them.
He is preceded in death by his son, Edward C. Davis; mother, Gladys Delong; father, Lucius Davis; brothers, Tommy Davis, Lucius Davis, and Bobby Davis; sister, Dorothy Darden; and step sisters, Marilyn Yalerga and Jaqueline Vinje.
Frank leaves to cherish his memories his children, Tonya J. (Eddie E.T.) Thibodeaux, Frank S. (Steven) Davis, and Katherine M. (Clinton) Wombles; three brothers, Roy Davis, Donald Davis, and William (Debbie) Davis; Gladys (Chuck) Noyer, Dorothy Jean Allen, Carolyn (Don) Magliocca; thirty-three nieces and nephews, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
The family would like to give a special Thank you to Covenant Care and all they have done to help Frank.
A service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.
