Billie Rae Sterr, 71 of Pensacola passed away on January 21, 2019 at hospice. Born in Pottsville, PA she is preceded in death by her father John Hammer and survived by her mother Margaret Hammer, brothers Jack, Tom (wife Donna), Rick, and Bob Hammer, sisters Dianna Powell and Cindy Koch, and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind daughter LeaAnn (husband John) Lehmann and sons Eric Sterr and Todd (wife Noelle) Gillette. Grandsons Chris (wife Shawna) Lee and Todd Gillette Jr, granddaughters Jordan (fiancé Thomas Patton), Morgan, and Madison Lehmann. Great grandchildren Shiloh and River Lee and Cameron and Averie Patton. Billie graduated from Pottsville High School in 1965 and joined the Navy. She was an active member of the American Legion Riders (Charter member and Secretary) Post 340, Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 3483, and Women of the Moose holding the degree of collegian at Chapter 898. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
