James Roland ”Jimmie” Polk (61) was born on December 17, 1957 in Jay, Florida. A lifelong resident of Jay, he departed this life on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at his home in Jay.

Jimmie was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and camping. He was the founder of Security Fence & Construction Incorporated, which he built from the ground up. Jimmie loved entertaining and talking with his many friends, but his greatest pleasure was found in his role as a grandfather.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents Carl Polk and Addie Ruth Polk Gomillion.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Lottie Polk; children: Andrew Polk, Amanda (Brad) Bledsoe and Samantha (Tracy) Diamond; brother, Roger (Frances) Polk, and a sister, Dolores (Juan) Durst, all of Jay, Florida. He was a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren: Makenleigh and Braxton Bledsoe, and Ryder and Owen Diamond. Additionally, Jimmie leaves behind nieces, nephews, and special friends too numerous to list.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Cornerstone Christian Church, Jay, FL.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019 also at the church.
