Obituary for Dorothy Willine Parker

Dorothy Willine Parker of Milton, Florida passed away April 29, 2019 in Pensacola at Baptist Hospital. Willine was 82 years of age and resided in the Pensacola and Milton area for the past 40 years.

She was born to William C. and Katheline Hood Jolley on November 9, 1936 in Rome, Georgia. Willine was married to the late Foster B. McLeod on August 29, 1955. Willine and Foster are survived by their children Mike McLeod, of New Bern, North Carolina; and Cheryl Bollish and her spouse Bob Bollish, of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by Mike’s sons, Jared and Conrad McLeod, and Cheryl and Bob’s children and their spouses, Anne and Mark Eadie and James and Kalla Bollish. In addition, they had two great-grandsons, John Foster (Jack) Eadie and Noah James Bollish.

Following the passing of Foster in 2010, Willine was joined in marriage with James Earl Parker, Sr. of Milton on June 5, 2015. She is also survived by her husband, Jim, his son James Earl Parker, Jr, his daughters Janice Honeycutt and Debbie Broxson, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Willine graduated from Laurel Hill High School and married Foster shortly after in 1955. She worked in many capacities but mainly building contractor sales, mobile home sales, and insurance agent for Liberty National. In addition to on-the-job training, she earned her LUTCF degree and license at the age of about 55. Willine was a loving, hard-working, kind and beautiful lady who cared deeply for others. After retiring at 65 and having cared for her parents and brother who all had Alzheimer’s, she was employed by TLC in Pensacola to provide home care for elderly and Alzheimer’s patients. Willine was loved and will be missed very much by her family and many friends.

Visitation will be Friday evening, May 3rd 5-7pm at Pine Terrace Baptist Church in Milton. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 4th at 10am with Mike Wiggins officiating at Pine Terrace Baptist. Burial will follow at Almarante Cemetery on Hwy 85 near Laurel Hill, FL. Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton has coordinated events and services for Willine Parker’s family.
