Obituary for Priscilla Ann Gines

Priscilla Ann Gines, 62, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, June 26, 2019 after a prolonged illness. She was born February 16, 1957 in Santa Monica, California to Bert D and JoAnn B (Bareis) Gines. She attended elementary school in Cypress, California and high school in Lake Elsinore, California. She graduated charm school and was a member of the Show Stoppers drill team.
As a child, she never met an animal she did not love, often bringing home the neighborhood “strays” (not all of which were dogs and cats). She carried this love of animals into her adult life. She also loved history. Priscilla enjoyed riding horses. Her free spirit manifested itself in her love to sing and dance. Her love of family led her to be a career mother and homemaker.
Priscilla is preceded in death by her father Bert Daniel Gines (1993) and her brother Robert Allen Gines (1959).
She is survived by her Son Charles Joseph Cortez (Tracey) (Colorado Springs, CO); Grandson Alex Cortez (Colorado Springs, CO); Mother JoAnn B Gines (Pensacola, FL); Brothers Daniel Joseph Gines (Robin) (Valle, AZ) and Thomas Edward Gines (Pensacola, FL); Sisters Mary Ellen Smith (Rodger) (Pensacola, FL) and Margaret Ruth Nalbone (Joseph) (Pensacola, FL); Life Partner Martin Sales (Bagdad, FL); and various aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and others whose lives were touched by Priscilla are invited to join her family in celebrating her life at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 419 Yoakum Ct, Pensacola, FL Wednesday, July 10, 2019 for visitation and a photo memorial from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM to be followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
