Helen loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She was quick-witted, enjoyed laughing with loved ones and had a marvelous sense of humor – even at the end of her life. She was very supportive of the school activities of her sons and she was especially involved in their Boy Scout Troops as each of them earned their Eagle Scout Award. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Pensacola. The family wishes to offer gratitude and thanks to all of the many people who provided love, support, and care. The family suggests that any donations in honor of Helen may be made to the UAB Gynecological Oncology Department for cancer research (176F Room 10250, 619 19th Street S., Birmingham, AL 35249; https://www.uab.edu/medicine/obgyn/give/ways-to-give).
