Obituary for Marion Virginia Williams

Marion Virginia Williams, 88, of Pensacola, Fl passed away on Sunday March 8th, 2020 at West Florida Hospital. Marion was born on May 15th, 1931 in Portage, Ohio to parents William L. Collins and Alice E. Holcombe.

In 1977, she moved to Pensacola, and in 1978 she worked as a waitress at the Roadside Inn on 9 Mile Road where she met the love of her life- Harold Quintine Williams. After that, she went on to work at McDonalds in 1980 and then Hardee's before going to work at Vanity Fair as a seamstress from which she retired in 1997.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved flowers and they always brought a smile to her face. She was always very feisty and said exactly what was on her mind without thinking but had a heart of gold and loved everyone in her life more than anything- especially her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her parents William and Alice Collins and her husband Harold Williams.
She is survived by her children Stan (Elizabeth) Shaffer, Virginia Hatcher, Beverly (Don) Sweeney, Jim (Nell) Shaffer, Leonard (Heather) Shaffer, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on March 16th, 2020 at Trahan Funeral Home on Yoakum Court in Pensacola, Fl. The viewing will begin at 11:30 AM, with the service to immediately at 12:00 PM. She will be cremated and placed at Barrancas National Cemetery with her husband to be announced by the family at a later date.
