Obituary for Leroy Cobb

Leroy Cobb was called by the Lord on May 1, 2019. He was born in Jay, FL to Claude and Sudie Cobb. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and later retired from NAS Pensacola where he was Crash Captain of Sherman Field.

Leroy was a diehard Alabama and New Orleans Saints fan and always had a joke or a saying that made people laugh. He was a member of Wallace Baptist Church.

Leroy was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Donald Cobb and Jesse Cobb; and sister, Myrle Goodson.

Survivors include: his wife of 11 years, Greta Margaret Cobb; his son, Darryl; step-daughters, Linda Hobbs, Susan Ward, Carol Nevarez, Sandy Brannon, Donna Howell, and Vicky Hawke; step-sons, Steve and Ricky Gerald; sisters, Maxine Simmons, Carolyn Ruddy, and Shirley Wiles; brother, Roger Cobb; and numerous grandchildren, many other family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
Burial will follow at Cobbtown Cemetery.

Leroy was a fantastic husband, father, and human being who will be missed by all who knew him.
