Gloria Wilson
1935 - 2019
Gloria Wilson, 83, of Pensacola, FL, went home to be with the Lord on May 6th , 2019. Mrs. Gloria was born in Franklinton, LA to Wendell and Eunice Pierce on November 25th, 1935.
She grew up in New Orleans, LA, and it was there that she met the love of her life, Jerry Wilson. They were married in 1954, and they spent 57 years side by side.
Mrs. Gloria was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Wynetta and Wandalla Wilson. Throughout her life, her love for the Lord grew as she assisted her husband in the ministry.
They settled in Lafayette, LA where she lived for 45 years. In her life, she worked at Dallas Theological Seminary, typed legal depositions, and was the office manager for the Wilson Insurance Agency, which she co-owned with her beloved, Jerry. She loved animals, playing piano, putting puzzles together, reading, bargain shopping, and fishing with Jerry.
Mrs. Gloria’s encouraging words and loving spirit will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her here on this earth.
She was preceded in death by the following individuals: her husband, Jerry; her oldest daughter, Wynetta; and her parents, Wendell and Eunice.
Mrs. Gloria is survived by the following individuals: her daughter, Wandalla Wilson; her sister, Irene Vile; and her grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew, Hannah and Bethany Hanks. Mrs. Gloria had two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Ezra Hanks.
