Eugene Harold Givens
September 29, 1943 – May 9, 2019
Eugene Harold Givens, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday May 9, 2019. He was born in Pensacola, FL to his loving parents, Isaac and Laura Givens.
After graduating from Pensacola High School, he served proudly in the United States Army, and was in the Vietnam War. Eugene went on to be a private investigator. He went on to retire from Pete Moore after several years as a security guard.
Eugene was a member of Warrington Church of Christ, where he enjoyed worshiping the Lord.
He was a wonderful man who loved with all his heart. Eugene was a soldier, a brother, and a friend. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Isaac Givens; and sister, Pat Helms.
Eugene leaves to cherish his memories his mom, Laura Givens; sister, Joyce Burke; brother, Bill Givens; many nieces, friends, and other loved ones, as well as Tottie and Katelyn.
A going home service will be held Wednesday May 15, 2019 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, with a visitation starting at 12:00, the service will follow at 1:00, and we will leave in pression at 2:00. He will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery with Military Honors.
