Obituary for Sandra Lee Downing
Sandra Lee Downing, 60, passed away on May 4, 2019 at her home in Pensacola surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Jackson, MS to Gary and Joann McDonald.
As a child, Sandy loved kitties and making mud and acorn pies, she later moved on to sports. Sandy enjoyed swimming, the beach, and dancing. She is a graduate of Escambia High School and an Accounting Student of George Stone Vocational.
Sandy is also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 340; she is a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and has been since she was a teenager.
She is survived by her parents, Gary and Joann McDonald; her twin sister, Kathy Lawson; son, Josh; husband, Eric Downing; and her four-legged baby, Jackson. She also leaves behind her daughter, Christina Jones and her children; daughter, Shiane and her husband, Dakota; daughter, Savannah and her husband, Matthew; grandson, Ethan and two great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Amaya.
