Obituary for Benty "Bill" Baggett

Benty “Bill” Baggett, 77, of Jay went to be with the Lord and his parents and brother on May 20, 2019. He was born on November 10, 1941 in Santa Rosa County, FL.

Bill attended the deaf and blind school in St. Augustine, FL where he learned the typesetting industry. He worked as a typesetter in several states before retiring to Chumuckla.

Bill enjoyed fishing, watching greyhound and horse racing, and keeping his lawn immaculate. He loved his cats and interacting with the deaf community, especially his nephew, Richard Cross and his good friend, Jerry Frazier.

Bill had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill was preceded in death by: his parents, Tom and Evia Baggett; his brother, Troy Baggett; and his brother-in-law, D.C. Cross.

Survivors include: his siblings: Lanelle Cross, Leverle (Curtis) Nobley, Minnie (Clarence) Carnley, Mollie (Kelley) Uselton, Thomas (Jennifer) Baggett, Audrey (Melvin) Carnley, Jessie (Tommy) Crongeyer, and Johnny (Cindy) Baggett; sister-in-law, Joann Baggett; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton, 6539 Trammel Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the funeral home.
