Obituary for Will Lewis McClain
Willie McClain, was born on August 10, 1950 in Escambia County, Alabama to Mack and Netoria McClain. He was educated through the Santa Rosa County School System and received his high school diploma while training with the Job Corps. After completing school, Willie joined the United States Marine Corps. He served his country faithfully and after serving in Vietnam he returned to Milton and started a 38 year career with the International Paper Company formerly known as Champion International at his retirement.
In 1996 Willie gave his life to Christ under the leadership of Elder Josh Johnson Sr., at Ferris Hill Church of God In Christ. He continued his worship and service to the Lord at Pentecostal Temple Ministry under Bishop John D. Young Sr. He accepted Christ into his life and served him diligently until God called him home on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
Willie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend. He was not hard to please, wise and humble. He found joy spending time with his family and collecting watches.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mack and Netoria McClain, his beloved daughter Tanisha McClain, and two sisters; Lillie and Carrie McClain.
His memory will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Hattie McClain; four sons: Kasai McClain, Gifford Pinkney Jr., Ronald Pinkney, and Jeffrey (Samantha) Pinkney; one daughter, Barbara Pinkney; 21 grandchildren: Jasmine, Kasana, Vincent, Jourdan, Javaris, Xavien, Xandex, Xavier, Breant, Deja, La’Dwanya, Christopher, Aliyana, Jaidyn, Elijah, Kaelyn, J’Dryk, J’Da, Jaela, Jalea, and Jeffrey; 8 great grandchildren; three brothers, Johnny McClain, David Earl McClain and Timothy McClain; two sisters, Mary Ann McClain and Bessie Ann (Kenneth) Clark; five brother-in-laws: Roger(Sauvilla)Cunningham, James Cunningham, Eddie Cunningham, Kerry Cunningham and Terry Cunningham; three sister-in-laws, Virstell Cunningham, Sallie Cunningham and Bridgett Cunningham; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is Friday, May 24, 2019, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton; service is Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at First Assembly of God Milton, following service burial will be at Bagdad Cemetery.
