Tekisha Renee “Kisha” Montgomery, 34, went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2019. She was born on May 23, 1984 to Dorothy J. Montgomery in Pensacola, FL.
She enjoyed poetry, writing music and furthering her education in her nursing, her passion.
There was never a dull moment when you were with Tekisha, even while going through sickle cell. She loved to make people happy by being goofy and entertaining.
She believed anyone who really loved you was family. Tekisha was different in a good way – her smile, knowledge and love of others.
Tekisha’s children were her life. She loved seeing her kids advance. She spoke very highly of her son, Jaylen in band and ROTC; she enjoyed the games where he performed. Tekisha had an unconditional love for both Keyisis and Jaylen.
Tekisha was a truly wonderful person who will be truly missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Benjamin F. Montgomery, Sr.; grandmother, Lucille Lett-Montgomery and baby Isaiah Richburg.
Beautiful memories remain in the hearts of her loving children, Jaylen Russell and Keyisis Luckey.
Tekisha is survived by her mother, Dorothy Jones (Willie Graves); sisters, Janita Montgomery and Lakicia Johnson; brother, Deauntey Johnson; aunt, Mattie Johnson; uncles, Herman (Vickie) Lett, William (Andrette) Montgomery, Benjamin Montgomery, Fredrick Montgomery and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
