Barbara Sue Wise, 70, passed away on June 9, 2019 in Pensacola, Florida. She was born in Kansas City, MO to Daniel Boone and Ruth Irene Darby.
As a child, Barbara grew up in Urbana, MO. She was an honors student at Johnson County Community College. Her most satisfying accomplishments were being a mother, wife, sister, and friend. She loved music, quilting, scrapbooking, and playing her piano.
She is a member of Point Baptist Church. She was also a part of the Interchange Freedom Initiative (Kairos) and the PEO.
She is preceded in death by Daniel Boone Darby, Ruth Irene Troyer, and Jeffery Coleman.
Barbara is survived by her husband- James Wise, sister- Janet Young, son- Michael Coleman, daughter- Becky Newsom, and stepson Christopher Wise. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren- Nolan, Colin, Jessica, McKenzie, and Marlee, along with two great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to Point Baptist Church for their Backpack Ministry,
The service will be held at Point Baptist Church on Saturday June 15, 2019 with visitation being at 10 AM, and the service following at 11 AM. Trahan Family Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements.

I met Barbara and Jim when they became members of First Baptist Church of Olathe where I pastored. I thoroughly enjoyed the time that we ministered together in Olathe Kansas. Barbara had such a large heart for people and was always so kind to take time to share with others when needed. She made an impression on me and I will never forget her confidence in the Lord.

We met Barbara and Jim only once while visiting my brother Bob and his wife Janet, Barbara's sister, in Pensacola. We know that all will feel her loss deeply, and pray for peace and comfort for her family in memories of happier days.
