Raymond E. Jackson, Sr.
January 20, 1940 – June 3, 2019
Raymond E. Jackson, Sr., 79, passed away Monday June 3, 2019 at Asbury Assisted Living Facility in Pensacola. He was born January 20, 1940, in Salisbury, MO., to his mother, Inez Jackson. Raymond was the third, of six siblings.
He graduated from Salisbury High School in 1959, where he played basketball. After high school he went into the Army and retired as a Master Sargent E-8. He was united with the 2nd Baptist Church of Salisbury at an early age.
Raymond is preceded in death by his mother, Inez Jackson; his father; a son, Stefon Glasgow; two sisters, Vaughanceil Hayes and Margaret Jackson and one brother, Roy Lee Miller (Tick).
He is survived by eight children, Rana Hayes – Columbia, MO, Derwin Glasgow-Slater, MO, Gina Glasgow-Marshall, MO, Raymond Jackson, Jr.-Pensacola, FL, Cynthia Pierre-Arlington, TX, Rainer Johnson-Pensacola, FL, Donna Mitton-Killeen, TX, and Patrick Jackson- Milton, FL; ex-wife, Steen Jackson- Milton, FL; sister, Janet Jackson- Salisbury, MO; brother, Reuben Tisdale-Salisbury, MO; several grandchildren; friend, Sylvia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 14, 2019, we will be leaving Trahan Family Funeral Home at 1:30 sharp for Barrancas National Cemetery.
