Obituary for James Carlton Blazier

After a courageous battle with cancer, James C. Blazier entered Heaven's Gates on June 18th, 2019 surrounded by his family at the age of 84.

Jim was born in Austinburg, OH on February 24, 1935 to John D. & Amber Blazier. Jim moved to Milton in the mid 60's where he met his beautiful wife Phyllis in 1966 and they married on August 25, 1967. They became parents to Jackie & Jason. He worked at American Cynamid as a machinist until his retirement.

Jim & Phyllis loved to travel and explore new places and things and he passed on that same love to his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren were his greatest joy and he loved teaching them how to fish, boating and exploring the rivers with them. He was a faithful servant and Christian who helped to take care of the building and grounds of Margaret Street Church of Christ in Milton. Jim was always doing whatever he could to help others including working on their tractors or cars (which he loved) or helping people with anything they needed and always put others needs ahead of his own.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Phyllis W. Blazier and his sister Betty Merritt.
He is survived by his brother Charles E. Blazier, daughter Jackie Blazier Allen, son Jason Blazier, daughter-in-law Lisa Blazier and grandchildren Breland, Nicholas, Caleb & Emily Blazier.

Visitation will be held at Margaret Street Church of Christ in Milton on Sunday June 23rd, 2019 at 2:00 PM with the service celebrating his life immediately following at 3:00 PM. The interment service will follow at Serenity Gardens in Milton, FL.

In lieu flowers, donations may be made to the Relay for Life in his honor.

He will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
