Obituary for Ethel Louise Cartwright Howell Porter
Ethel Louise Cartwright, 93, of Milton, FL went to be with Jesus on September 8, 2020 after a short illness with Covid19. She was born to James and Ella Cartwright of Elizabeth City, North Carolina on June 19, 1927.
Louise was “unexpected” on the day she was born. Her mother was literally surprised because she didn’t know she was expected and was considered a miracle.
Louise married Talley Howell of Mississippi on May 10, 1945. They were married for 43 years until his unfortunate death at age 64 from an automobile crash. Eleven years later, Louise married Ralph Porter of Milton and they were together 13 years until after a short illness he too passed away.
Survivors include: children, Frank (Jenny) Howell and Brenda (Larry) Lunsford; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Reeves, Chrissy (Marty) McMillan, Catherine Lunsford, and Ryan Lunsford; great-grandchildren, Justin (Chelsea) Howell and Zachary Mason; and great-great grandchildren, Holleigh Mason, Noah Mason, and Gabe Howell.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Friendship Baptist Church, Milton, FL.
