Obituary for Barbara Clare James
Barbara Clare James, 85, of Milton passed away on September 11, 2020. She was born on May 30, 1935 in Marines, NC (now Camp LeJune) to Robert E. and Clare Aman Turner.
Barbara was a devout Christian lady who taught school at Bagdad Elementary School. She was an accomplished painter and enjoyed gardening. She loved her monthly outings with her group of friends and kept up that tradition until the end.
Survivors include: her sister, Helen Rockwood; her children, Robert (Cheryl) Olson, Sheila (Carlos) Sabogal, and John (Brenda) Olson; grandchildren: Melissa Lucas, Josh Olson, Jessica (Chad) Carraway, John Olson, Jr., and Tiffany Olson; and great-grandchildren: Dominic, Kamille, Brooklynne, Kennley, Morgann, and Laikynn.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
