Obituary for Shelby Gene Fowler

Shelby Gene Fowler went Home to Heaven after 80 years on Earth on Sunday, September 13, 2020 after his battle with blood cancer. He was surrounded by family and passed in the comfort of his own home.

Shelby graduated from Escambia High School in 1959 and Midwestern Bible College in 1972. He enjoyed 30+ years serving Jesus as a Preacher, Sunday School Teacher, and speaker for both retirement home and prison ministry. He retired from Lord’s Corporation in Erie, PA and loved spending time with family, birdwatching, wood working, and growing beautiful roses.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Ethel Fowler.

Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Fowler; his daughter, Pam (Keith) Seymour; his three grandchildren, Bethany (Andrew) Stoudt, Brittany (Steffon) Hancock, and Spencer Seymour; and his two siblings, Jerry and Barbara.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
