Obituary for Dorothy Jean Laubach

Dorothy Jean Laubach, 90, of Pensacola went to Heaven on September 9th, 2020. The Lord took her home to be with her husband Gerald, who passed away in 2000.

She was born in Laurens, South Carolina on January 7th, 1930.

Dorothy was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and a loving friend to many. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was a devoted Navy Wife. Together for years they ran an antique shop, as well as a dog kennel for English long-haired dachshunds, and she also raised the family.

She was an accomplished Artist who took her first Art lesson in Rota, Spain on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Being a Christian, it often reflected in her artwork. And at times she would volunteer at various Church nurseries. She also was a doll collector, and she started the Doll Clubs in our area. She was truly a wonderful person.

Trahan Family Funeral Home is handling everything for the family.

The Funeral services are on September 24th at Trahan Family Funeral Home located at 60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola Florida (Hwy 29).

Procession will start at 12:00 pm sharp, to Barrancas National Cemetery, for a graveside service that is open to all friends and family. You must wear a mask on base at the pavilion. Everyone going on base must be in line for the procession at 11:30.
